Notes From The Studio
What we are buying, what we are rejecting, and the details that decide whether a piece makes it onto the site. Written by the people who pack the boxes.
Why we photograph every pair before it ships
A stock photo tells you what the product is meant to look like. It does not tell you whether the pair in your size has a clean toe box, an even stitch line or the right box label. So every order gets its own set of pictures and a short packing video before it leaves. If something looks off, you see it while the parcel is still on our table — not after it has crossed an ocean.
On sizing, honestly
Most of what goes wrong in this category is not the product, it is the size. Sneakers run true to EU for the brands we carry, but a Jordan 4 fits tighter through the midfoot than a Jordan 1, and a B22 runs close to a half size small. We list the measured insole length on the pages where it matters, and we will tell you to size up if that is the honest answer.
What we turn down
Roughly one piece in five never reaches the catalogue. Crooked hardware on a bag, a watch with a misaligned bezel, fragrance that has been opened and resealed — those go back. The margin on this business does not survive a customer opening a box and finding something the photos did not show.
